I find it rather amusing - after paying off one credit card at 22% interest, I am now considered "a preferred customer". Sure.. they send checks with a 3.9% teaser rate... but I know darn well... they will raise it if I choose to use it. I was considered "a credit risk" according to them before... so what makes a month later any different?
